STANDING COMMITTEE CHARGES

 

INDUSTRY RELATIONSHIP COMMITTEE

1.1 Campaign for associate membership in ATEC-WR:

1.2 Encourage industry participation from each sector of aviation where our technician graduates are employed:

1.3 Provide guest speakers at our bi-annual meetings:

1.4 Develop internships within the industry:

GOVERNMENT RELATIONSHIP COMMITTEE

1.1 Prepare a statement for the membership on FAR, Part 65/66:

1.2 Interface with the FAA on FAR Part 147 updates:

1.3 Update the involvement in State and Federal surplus acquisition activities, such as costs, policy, and procedures:

1.4 Maintain and update the standardized student FAA time reporting form:

1.5 Lobby at state and local levels for school needs in Aviation Training:

 

SCHOOL RELATIONSHIPS COMMITTEE

            Chairman:

            Members:

1.1 Establish better communications between member schools:

1.2 Establish articulation plans among the high schools, community colleges and/or two year colleges, and universities:

need to identify a location to maintain the documentation on articulation.

1.3 Provide exchange data for hiring of new staff:

1.4 Provide exchange ideas for K-12 recruiting activities promoting Aviation Maintenance Technology.

 

ORGANIZATION COMMITTEE

1.1 One day meetings are the desire of the present membership and meetings are to be on Fridays, move meeting consecutively from South-Central-North, never two following each other in the same part of the geographical region:

NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE:

Members:

1.1 Keep costs at a minimum:

1.2 List school needs or availability of supplies, equipment, trade items, free materials, or coop buying:

1.3 Publish two to three times per year:

            Fall Newsletter:

                        Deadline November 19

                        Publication November 29

            Spring Newsletter:

                        Deadline April 23

                        Publication April 30

1.4 One school article per issue:

1.5 When possible use advertisements to offset costs: Each business card size ad would cost $50.00. Forward the business card and a check in the amount of $50.00 dollars to ATEC-WR. All companies advertising will be included in all newsletters for the year, and will be included on our mail list for that year.

1.6 Provide a news article for each National Publication Magazine of ATEC: The Newsletter Committee will develop articles and submit them to our national publication.

1.7 Committee chairs provide reports for newsletter through Presidents office: Each committee chairman is encouraged to provide an on going committee report of their committee activities to the newsletter through the our president Robert Takacs.
